Where is your food made, and how?

Our organic recipes are lovingly crafted in collaboration with a small, dedicated manufacturer in southern Germany. They prioritize eco-friendly practices, like reducing CO₂ emissions and conserving water, to create food that’s both premium and planet-friendly. Each recipe is developed according to strict organic standards, ensuring your feline royalty gets only the best. We use a gentle production process involving cold filling and water bath heating, which preserves the food naturally without the need for preservatives.

What is cold filling, and why do you use it?

Cold filling is a specialized process where food is packaged at around 4°C to prevent bacterial growth. This method keeps our ingredients fresh without using additives or preservatives. After filling, each pouch or can is sealed and gently heated to around 120°C in a water bath. This process ensures long shelf life without compromising the quality or taste your cat loves.

What’s the meat content like in your wet food?

Cats are natural carnivores, so our food has an impressive 93% meat content, because your furry friend deserves nothing less! Unlike some brands that use low-quality animal byproducts or fillers, we stick to premium cuts to support your cat’s health and well-being. Do you add artificial vitamins or other additives?

Not at all! Our food is made with only natural, high-quality ingredients as listed on the label. We never use artificial flavors, binders, preservatives, or attractants. All of our meat is sourced from organic or ethical farms, and our fruits, vegetables, and oils are certified organic as well. It’s all about keeping it simple and nutritious.

Why do you include coconut flakes in your recipes?

Coconut flakes are a fantastic source of fiber, helping support healthy digestion. They also contain easily digestible fatty acids. Fun fact: Some cat parents even use coconut oil for massages or as part of parasite prevention!

What is the texture of your food like?

Our wet food has a smooth, pâté-like texture with a juicy, tender consistency that cats absolutely adore. It’s finely minced for easy enjoyment, perfect for even the pickiest eaters!

How should I transition my cat to Queen Nala’s food?

To ensure a smooth transition, gradually mix Queen Nala’s food with your cat’s current diet over 7–10 days, increasing the amount of Queen Nala food each day. This gradual change helps prevent digestive issues and allows your cat to fully enjoy their new, premium meals. Please take a look at the table below to see our daily feeding recommendation.

How long does the food last after opening?

Once opened, the food stays fresh in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Be sure to serve it at room temperature for your cat’s comfort. You can also freeze portions for longer storage.

Is your food suitable for kittens?

We don’t offer a separate kitten food because we believe kittens thrive on high-quality, protein-rich diets just like adult cats. Our 93% meat recipes are perfect for growing kittens and contain no grains, added sugars, or unnecessary fillers. To help prevent picky eating habits, we recommend offering a variety of flavors while your kitten is still young.

Do you conduct animal testing?

Never! We don’t believe in clinical animal testing. Instead, we let our four-legged friends be the judges, because who better to decide what’s delicious?
